The experience can be good or bad, sometimes frustrating: where should you go to find the hidden treasures? In São Paulo, there are many types of supermarkets: big, small, sophisticated, popular… there are some for every preference and budget.
Pão de Açucar, Casino products in Brazil
At Pão de Açucar you will find a large selection of imported products, cheese, wins, drinks… It’s here that you will find your Bonne Maman jam, the St Michel little Bretton cakes or even pickles… And there are Casino brand products, our French distributor! (After several months in Brazil, yes this type of small detail makes us happy!) They also offer a large variety of Brazilian products. The supermarket is very popular and hard to miss.

Here you will find imported and domestic, craft and quality organic products. Large variety of drinks, cheeses of all types and from all areas, fresh and frozen fish, meat and everything else you can find in a supermarket. The products are generally more expensive but it can be worth it for the variety and the quality.

St March, good value for your money in Brazil
St March is the main competitor of Pão de Açucar today. The products offered generally have a good price/quality value (even if you find that everything is expensive in Brazil). The store is specialized in always having fresh fruits and vegetables.

Apanã, French organic supermarket in Brazil
Apanã is the first organic supermarket that was opened in Brazil by a Frenchman. Not all of their products are organic but they have any organic-type product there is : sugar free, gluten free, lactose free, organic or just normal, you can find it all… You can also find textiles, cultural items and an organic buffet (unlimited for R$16).
